Patricia Jean Kane Dash, “Pat” to her friends and family, peacefully passed away at the age of 92 on September 12, 2024.
She was born June 24, 1932 in Cumberland, Maryland. When Patricia was a young woman, she relocated to Forest Hills located in the Pittsburgh area where she met the love of her life, William “Bud” Dash. They married in 1954 and were able to celebrate 62 years of marriage. She and William, who passed away in 2016, raised their family in North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.
Patricia is survived by their three children: Vicki Dash-Slesinski (Donald Slesinski), Linda Dash (John Kimbrough) and Robert Dash (Carol Munse Dash); four grandchildren, Gary Slesinski, Nicole Slesinski, Robert Dash and Tina Dash; along with three great-grandchildren, Carter Coleman, Adalynn Hendricks, and Damion Hendricks.
Patricia devoted her time to raising their three children and running the household. She was very involved in her church, which was the Lutheran Church of Our Savior located on Clay Pike in Irwin. She sang in the choir and was very active in the Women’s Group. Patricia also volunteered as a Girl Scout leader and all the other activities centered around her children. After her husband, William, retired they volunteered their time together supporting the local Meals-on-Wheels, ringing the bells for The Salvation Army during the Christmas holidays, and worked the voting polls during elections. She will be remembered lovingly and missed by many. Rest in peace, Patricia.
A service will be held in the Pittsburgh area at a later date. In memory, a contribution may be made to The Lutheran Church of our Savior located at 1570 Clay Pike, in Irwin, Pennsylvania 15642.
