Patricia Anne Horrocks

Patricia Anne Horrocks, 86, of Cochranville, PA, passed away peacefully on April 27th surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 1st 1940 in Darby, PA. After graduating from Lower Merion and Kutztown University she and her husband’s adventures began, making their way to Colorado. She was an avid sportsman and wanted people to know she hunted “both sides of the Rockies” and was an NRA Pro Marksman. They camped and fished in the untamed outback of Colorado as well as field trialing a champion Black Lab.

Making their way back to Pennsylvania in the mid 60’s they both began their careers at Unionville High School. While she loved art she loved teaching art even more and affected many hundreds of students. She also taught at Upland Country Day School.

Pat enjoyed sailing and apart from a lifetime on the Chesapeake Bay she was able to sail at various times from Maine to the Bahamas.

She was deeply read on History, Politics, and Geography, all of which lead to a love of Geopolitics.

But mostly she loved her clubs and volunteer organizations; Girl Scouts, League of Women Voters, Garden Club, Federated Womens Club, Quilt Guild, Newcomers, Georgetown Racing Fleet and probably a half a dozen more.

Having found London Grove Meeting when they moved back East, Pat was a Quaker her entire adult life.

She is survived by her children Christopher (Karen), Jennifer (Heitzso), and Henry (Nisha), as well as siblings Curtis and Lauren Scott. She was preceded in death by her life long husband and partner Sidney Horrocks.

A celebration of life will be held on May 23rd, at 1PM at London Grove Meeting 500 Street Rd, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
