Patricia Marie Rice was born in Norristown, PA on March 25th,1950. She was 75 years old when she passed away Monday, July 28th, 2025, in West Chester, PA. Patricia (Pat) grew up in a family of eight with five siblings and is survived by her brothers Leon, John, and Tim. Pat had two children, Tammy and Lester, and four grandchildren. She was widowed in 1989 after 21 years of marriage to Lester Rice.
Pat was a self-employed housekeeper who loved shopping, going to the beach, and celebrating all the holidays, especially Christmas. She handed out tons of presents to everyone and loved her Christmas decorations. She was very proud of the unique Christmas Village she collected and created over many years. More than anything, she loved spending time with her four grandchildren, Christopher, Ryan, Megan, Shyan, and her “grand-doggy” Bailey, who was her Bail-Zer-Boo.
Pat was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease more than ten years ago. She didn’t let this stop her from enjoying life as she continued to manage the symptoms. With the help of her best friend, Lil Murphy, she was able to remain independent in her apartment until she eventually required 24-hour care. The Parkinson’s continued to take away Pat’s quality of life and mobility before ultimately taking her life.
