Patricia Fiorella Ward

Patricia Fiorella Ward of Kennett Square, PA, passed away peacefully at age 91 on September 17, 2026.

Born in Delaware County, PA and daughter to Anne & Ted Fiorella, she was preceded in death by her husband Bob, parents Anne & Ted, brothers Neal & Ted, sister Eleanor Uhlman, and nephews Walter & John Uhlman.

Pat is survived by stepchildren Sharon Ward Reynolds, Dan (Clare), Mike (Annette), Bob, and George (Christy) Ward; grandchildren Bryan (Emily) & Andy (Mandy) Hood, Valerie (Bob) Poole, Nick (Megan), Catie, Allie, Annie, Colin, Zach and Ryan Ward; great-grandchildren Kennedy & Carter Hood, and Caiden & Bobby Poole; and nephew Ted Uhlman.

Pat graduated from Haverford High School and Penn State University. She taught at the Lynnewood School in Haverford Township and the Chadds Ford Elementary School (known fondly as Mrs. P. Walker) where she made lifelong friends of teachers, parents, and students. Among best friends were her many pets over the years, especially lovable dogs: Sheba, Bailey, Maggie, Reggie and Greta and nice cats Charles, Patrick & Hannah.

Pat will be remembered for her engaging, warm personality and profound sense of humor. Always generous with her time and genuinely interested in others, especially her dearest friends, the two Dianes, and the grandchildren. Frequent conversations with the kids and watching baseball became an abundant source of pride in later years.

Effortlessly in style, Pat also found pleasure in traditional endeavors like home renovation, decorating, gardening, sewing, knitting, reading, writing letters, and cooking. Family and friends were blessed by countless gatherings marked by Pat’s gracious hospitality and wonderfully prepared meals.
