Patricia 'Pat' Heald Obituary

Patricia 'Pat' Heald, age 80 of Unionville, PA, died peacefully at her home on April 2, 2024 after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late C. Grant Heald and the late Dorothy (Miller) Heald. 

She graduated from Unionville High School in 1962 and the University of Delaware. She worked as a caseworker at the Delaware County Children's Cottage in Lima for several years before becoming a caseworker at the Chester County Assistance Office, where she worked for over 20 years. 

Pat was a past active member of both the Delaware Valley Combined Training Association and the Oley Valley Combined Training Association. 

She also enjoyed fox hunting with both Mr. Stewart's Cheshire Foxhounds and Brandywine Hounds, competing in Combined Training Events with her beloved horses, training her German Shepherds, cooking (especially grilling), gardening, and all outdoor activities. She enjoyed playing sports and was a star field hockey player for Unionville High School. She was also a well-respected softball pitcher. She was especially proud to have been selected as a cross-country volunteer for the Three-Day Event portion of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. She was also an avid photographer. 

Pat is survived by Patricia Bruno, her partner and wife of 48 years; sisters-in-law, Judith (Michael Cyzewski) Bruno and Susanne (Richard) Bruno; nephews, TR Scrivner, Richie Bruno, Michael (Nimra) Cyzewski, Patrick (Daren James) Cyzewski; niece, Victoria Cyzewski; and great-nephew, Nico Cyzewski. 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Frances and brother, Charles. 

Services will be private.
