Richard Fuller, Jr. Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard A. Fuller, Jr., known to friends and family as Rick, on March 14, 2025. Born on August 28, 1967, in Bronxville, NY to Cheryl Jane Allen Fuller and Richard A. Fuller, Sr., Rick’s life was marked by resilience, passion, and an unwavering love for those around him.

In 1972, Rick’s family faced the challenges of Hurricane Agnes, which tragically led to the loss of their home in a flood. The family, however, turned adversity into opportunity, spending a year in Egypt before ultimately settling in Dallas, PA, where Rick grew up. Throughout his life, Rick embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, and he will be remembered for his infectious humor and his ability to make everyone he met feel special.

Rick graduated from Dallas High School in 1985 and went on to earn a degree from Lehigh University, graduating in 1989. He spent much of his adult life in the Philadelphia area, where he built an incredibly successful career. His determination, hard work, and business acumen made him a respected entrepreneur, but his success was always measured by the enjoyment he found in his relationships and the impact he had on others.

Early in his life, one of Rick’s greatest joys was spending time with his grandparents, Oscar and Julie Allen, whom he loved dearly. Some of his fondest memories were spent fishing on Lake Fairlee in Vermont, a place where he felt connected to his roots and found a sense of peace and happiness.

After meeting each other at Lehigh University, Rick married the love of his life, Allison (Ahearn) on September 26, 1998 in Doylestown, PA. Allison was his best friend and was his biggest supporter. They have resided in Kennett Square, PA for the last 20 years.

Rick was a devoted father to his son, Hayden Fuller, whom he cherished deeply. He was Hayden’s biggest supporter, always present cheering from the sidelines at soccer games and tennis matches. Passionate about golf, they both enjoyed many rounds together during visits with Hayden in California. The bond they shared was unbreakable, and Rick’s pride in Hayden was evident to all who knew him. Rick is also survived by his wife, Allison Fuller, his mother, Cheryl Fuller, his sister, Lori Chance, and her husband Paul Chance, and his cherished niece and nephew, Parker and Meredith as well as his nephews Keegan, Colin, Asher, Arden, and Henry. Preceded in death by his father, Richard A. Fuller, Sr.

A man of incredible generosity and spirit, Rick’s warmth and positivity were infectious. His love for life extended to his passions, including golf, watching sports, and his fondness for spending time at the beach with Allison and their family and friends.

Rick’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, but his legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of life will be held in his honor in the coming months, as we gather to remember the dynamic, loving, and special person he was.

He will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
