Richard Shane Greer

Richard Shane Greer, age 72 of West Grove, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 29, 2026. He was the husband of Sylvia Elaine Brewer Greer.

Born 1954 in Wilmington, DE, Richard was the son of the late Fred Greer and the late Irene Blevins.

Richard loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. He also served as president for the Watershed Sporting Club. He was an avid Green Bay fan. Most of all, Richard deeply loved his family, and he will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, Elaine, Richard is survived by his children, Laura Greer, Matthew Greer (Rachel), and Michael Greer (Brooke); his brother, Danny Greer (Linda); grandchildren, Lexxess Greer, Brooklyn Greer, Aubrey Greer and, his grandson on the way, Luke Greer; his great granddaughter, Lainey Wasko; along with nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Lancello.

A Celebration of Life will be held by family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Richard’s name may be made to the Watershed Sporting Club, 1005 Hilton Road, Coatesville, PA 19320.
