Robert T. Pannell II, 65, of Avondale, PA, passed peacefully at home after a stoic seven-month battle with cancer.
Born in Kennett Square, Bobby was the oldest son of Robert and Denis Barr Pannell. He was a proud member of the Kennett High School Class of ’79. Following his schooling, Bobby enjoyed a successful career as a business partner and general manager of Pannell Manufacturing, working alongside his father for 48 years.
Bobby was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, bee keeper and wine maker. A true historian and an incredible book of knowledge, he was a passionate collector of all things and enjoyed studying local Chester County history. Above all, Bobby cherished spending time at his farm in Juanita County with his lifelong friends, and with his family on the Chesapeake. He will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bobby is survived by his father, Robert; his brothers, Steve and Ricky; his sister, Cheri, and brother-in-law, Brian Miller; and his sister, Chrissy. He is also survived by his nieces, Emma (Peter) and Catherine (Tyler); his great-nephew, Brian King; and his great-nieces, Violet and Piper Walton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Denis, and his niece, Abby Miller.
A remembrance in honor of Bobby’s life will be held at the Italian American Club on June 14th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. All friends and family are welcome.
Arrangements by Kuzo Funeral Home of Kennett Square, PA.
