Samuel Paul Schetrompf, age 67 of Peach Bottom, PA, passed away at his home on Monday, December 29, 2025. He was the husband of Karen James Schetrompf, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.
Born 1958 in Coatesville, PA, Sam was the son of the late Alden Schetrompf and the late Naomi Frank Schetrompf.
Sam graduated from Avon Grove High School. He attended Mt Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio, and completed training in teleconnect, business phone systems, and fiber optics. He began his own business in telecommunications, then incorporated it in 1985 named The Telephone Man, which became TTM Inc. Prior to retiring, he worked as a project manager for G.A.P. in Philadelphia.
Sam loved boating, cars, studying Christian theology, and traveling. Sam was outgoing and could carry on a conversation with anyone. He had a vivacious personality and enjoyed meeting new people and had a deep appreciation for his friendships. He loved to make people laugh. More than anything, Sam loved the Lord and his family. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family and playing with his grandkids.
In addition to his wife, Karen, Sam is survived by his son, Sammy James Schetrompf and his wife, Charlotte; his sister, Priscilla Barkman; numerous in-laws; nephews and nieces; and grandchildren, Faith Noel Hughes, Eleanor Ruth Schetrompf, Violet Jane Schetrompf, and Theodore James Schetrompf. He was preceded in death by his siblings, John Alden Schetrompf and Mary Ruth Johnson.
A viewing will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Kuzo Funeral Home, 250 W. State Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348. A second viewing will be on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 9:00AM to 10:00AM. Services will begin at 10:00AM and interment will follow at Unionville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sam’s name may be made to Avon Grove Church of the Nazarene, 240 State Road, West Grove, PA 19390.
