Shirley Lorraine Dambro, beloved mother and grandmother, died on April 9, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was 91.
Born in 1934 in Delaware County, she was the daughter of the late Emerson E. Tome and the late Estella M. (Raine) Tome. She lived in Kennett Square for over forty years.
Shirley’s greatest passion was helping her beloved husband of many years, Anthony (“Tony”) Brice Dambro, Jr., with his custom building and development business. Shirley loved to visit the construction sites, and she was the backbone of the business. She organized documents, made appointments, and supported Tony in every way. She was passionate about working side-by-side with her husband and she took great pride in her work. When Shirley was not working, she adored spending time at home with her husband, daughter Angie, and grandchildren Valentina and Antonio. She loved to care for her family, decorate her home, plant flowers, and antique in Chester County. She also enjoyed taking rides with her family. In her younger years, she loved visiting her beach residence in Wildwood Crest and traveling.
Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Angelina (“Angie”) M. Parisi and Shirley (“Cookie”) L. Harmon, four grandchildren, Valentina E. Parisi, Antonio J. Parisi, Jr., Jennifer D. Harmon, and Kristi L. Harmon, and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters.
Shirley’s love for her family and love of telling stories will be deeply missed.
The family will be holding a private viewing at Kuzo Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348. Private Interment will be at Lawn Croft Cemetery in Linwood, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Shirley’s name may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 (https://www.stjude.org/give.html).
