Stephen L. Briley, Sr.

Loving Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Great-Uncle and Friend

Stephen L. Briley Sr., age 60 of Newark, DE, passed peacefully, on November 2, 2018, with his loving children by his side.

He was born March 1958 in Wilmington DE. He was raised in Kennett Square PA, and a graduate of Kennett High School. Stephen was a proud employee of Acme Markets for 36 years, many of which he served as a well-respected store director.

Stephen enjoyed watching professional wrestling (Ric Flair Woo!), Elvis Presley, going to the little store to play his numbers, corvettes, spending time with his children, and was always sharply dressed. He dedicated his life to his family and his career. He was deeply loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved daughter Christine Eisenhart and her husband Jared; son, Stephen L. Briley Jr.; mother, Patricia Briley; brother, Bruce Briley; brother, Jeffery Briley and his wife Sherry; sister, Sharon Cosgrove and her husband Patrick; as well as nieces, Megan Rocha and Tina Hager; nephew, PJ Cosgrove; great niece, Adrienne Hager. Stephen was predeceased by his father, Franklin R. Briley Sr. and brother Franklin R. Briley Jr..

A Viewing for Stephen will be held Friday, November 9, 2018 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 W. State St., Kennett Square, PA 19348. Services for Stephen will begin at 12:00PM. Interment will be held at Union Hill Cemetery.
