Tugrul “Tug” DeLuce, of Unionville, PA, passed away on August 28, 2025. Born in 1986, he was the beloved son of Maria DeLuce and the late John DeLuce.
Tug graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from West Chester University. He dedicated his life to creativity and nature, working as a talented freelance artist and passionate forager. Tug was especially revered in the mushroom community for his deep knowledge and enthusiasm, contributing to the Mycology Clubs of both Philadelphia and West Chester.
Known by all as a bright light, Tug had an extraordinary gift for making people smile. His caring soul and selflessness touched countless lives, as he never hesitated to go out of his way to help others. Whether through his art, his laughter, or his guidance in the natural world, Tug left a lasting imprint on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Tug is survived by his loving mother, Maria DeLuce; his brother, Cem DeLuce; his cherished niece, Farrah DeLuce; and his nephew, JJ DeLuce. He was preceded in death by his father, John DeLuce and brother Harun DeLuce
A visitation will be held from 9:00AM to 11:00AM on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Kuzo Funeral Home, 250 W. State Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348. Tug's celebration of life will begin at 11:00AM. Interment will be private.
