William Losey Obituary

William James Losey of Cochranville was born in Wilmington, Delaware on May 20, 1932 to James Wilson Losey and his wife Vera Mary Newcomb Losey. Due to infirmities of old age I have departed this life on September 20, 2025 at the age of 93. Though the outward man perishes, the inner man was renewed day-by-day.

Preceded in death by my faithful wife Joy Marie Luderus Losey, my daughter Carla Lee Losey Haug and my son Scott Lee Losey.  Time can never erase the lines that love has traced, Oh what sweet reunion awaits me!

Survived by my oldest son Gregg A. Losey and his three children Boss, Emma and Abigail Losey. My youngest son Troy W. Losey and his wife Heather L. Heald Losey and their three children Troy, Jr., Trent and his wife Cinthia and their son Thiago, and Rachel Lawrence Losey and her husband Thomas and their six children Thomas, Jr., Chase, Emeri (Sissy), Remington Ann, Mason James and Luca. I regret to cause you this parting sorrow; however, that is the price that must be paid for such great love. Hope to see you in the morning just inside the Eastern gate- with Grammy!  It is my parting prayer that my God will visit each of you with so great a salvation as I have found in Jesus Christ my Lord, and give you spiritual gifts to serve Him all the days of your lives!

To my friends and associates who are not in Christ, I bid you an affectionate farewell. To those of you whom are of the household of faith, be of good courage! We shall stay joined in heart and surely meet again- our bonds are everlasting.

I am a brand plucked from the burning!  I claim no accomplishments; I have nothing that I did not first receive. My Heavenly Father called me out of darkness, into His marvelous light, one of His own choosing. I am a complete debt to His grace; therefore, I lay down this life in the joyful confidence of a new life in that world soon-to-come. Where there is no night, where The Lamb is the light!  AMEN
