1. Metal Caskets

Steel Caskets: Available in various gauges (thickness levels), typically 16, 18, or 20-gauge. The lower the gauge, the thicker and heavier the steel. Colors range widely, but the most common options include silver/gray, blue, white, champagne, and black.

Copper & Bronze Caskets: With a significant weight difference from steel, these caskets are extremely durable. These are considered “premium options” due to the quality of the materials and their resistance to the elements, and this is reflected in their price. Metal caskets also offer options such as gasketed seals for added protection, and typically have velvet or crepe interior linings.

2. Wood Caskets

Each wooden casket is unique due to grain and color variations in the wood.

Hardwood Caskets: Constructed from solid woods like mahogany, cherry, walnut, maple, or oak. These are premium caskets often chosen for their craftsmanship.

Softwood Caskets: Crafted from pine, poplar, or other softer woods. They tend to be a bit more affordable than hardwood, while still offering a beautiful, rustic appearance.

Veneer Caskets: Made from composite wood with a thin layer of veneer. These are a more cost-effective alternative to both solid hardwood and softwoods, but with a similar appearance.
