Burial Service Options

Traditional Funeral and Burial Service

A traditional funeral is when the deceased is embalmed, dressed and placed in a casket for a formal service. The funeral service takes place at the funeral home, church, or other venue appropriate for accommodating a casket. The service is often preceded by a viewing (open casket) or time for visitation (closed casket). Once the funeral service has concluded, the deceased is transferred by hearse to a cemetery for interment.

Graveside Service

A graveside service occurs entirely at the cemetery. Most often, the funeral director will transfer the deceased’s casket in the hearse and meet the family at the cemetery. The family or friends of the deceased can choose to act as pallbearers by carrying the casket from the hearse to the grave or can request that their loved one’s casket be set up at the grave prior to their arrival.

Personalized Funeral Services

We work with families to facilitate special moments and take unique approaches to honor the life of an individual. While following tradition can provide a great deal of comfort, uniquely memorializing the deceased allows one to continue to offer acts of love to someone who has passed away. By offering services that are personal and special, a unique life can be remembered and honored in a way that provides comfort to family and friends.

Funeral Service/Cremation Combination

With our private crematory, we are able to offer additional funeral service options that culminate in cremation. To view these funeral service options, visit our Cremation page.
