December 17, 1948 - April 27, 2016 Kennett Square, PA | Age 67 Loving Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend.

ELWOOD ”Tony” D. DARONE, age 67, of Kennett Square, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016.
Born in West Chester, PA, he was the son of Hazel Darone Smith of Kennett Square, PA.
Tony was a night watchman at Kendal-Crosslands in Kennett Square, PA for over 20 years.
He was a member of the Avondale Fire Company. He enjoyed model trains, reading and spending time at the firehouse.
Tony was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S.Air Force (1969-1973). He was stationed in both Thailand and Vietnam.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Robert Combs and his wife Judy of Troutdale, VA; three sisters, Pamela Roten and her husband William of Williamstown, PA, Karen Roark of Avondale, PA and Crystal Baker of West Grove, PA, and many nieces and nephews.
Tony was predeceased by one brother, Joseph Darone.
You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 11:00 to 1:00 on Tuesday morning, May 3, 2016, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square, PA. His funeral service will follow at 1:00. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery, Route 82, Kennett Square, PA.

    I was saddened to hear about Tony’s passing. Although he was my cousin … I didn’t see him that much and I didn’t know him that well … but it is always hard to lose a member of our family. Praying for peace and comfort for all of you as you go through this journey. Love you all!!
