Thomas “Tom” Robert Walsh, Jr.

June 26, 2018 Cracker

Thomas (Tom) Robert Walsh Jr. passed away on June 26th, 2018 in McHenry, MD.  Affectionately known as “Cracker,” a nickname that stuck throughout the years, it wasn’t unusual for most of his friends and family to a share at least one funny story involving Tom.  Known for his wit and big heart, it was easy to understand why people were drawn to him.  He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with friends and watching his beloved Philadelphia Eagles and wasn’t ashamed to construct a “shrine” during the games for luck.  No matter where Tom “hung his hat,” he easily made lifelong friends.  Tom will be missed dearly and is smiling down on his loving family and friends as he’s no longer in pain and at peace.

Tom is survived by his mother, Carol Walsh and her husband, Ed Thawley of Newark, DE and sister, Jennifer Stevenson of Exton, PA. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Robert Walsh and brother, Jeffrey Alan Walsh.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, along with many loving and supportive cousins. Funeral Service will be held at Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square PA 19348 on July 9, 2018 at 12 noon. Relatives and Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 10AM until the time of service. Interment immediately following at Longwood Cemetery Co., 945 E. Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, PA 19348.

  11. Tommy, Tom, Thomas and my personal favorite “Tom Cat”. Spent a lot of quality time with him………..through the Good , Bad and Ugly. He was a force to be reckoned with when irritated, provoked or badgered……Tested him a lot in those areas in our mischievous youth. His smile and lafter was infectious. Have to say goodbye for now buddy. Until we meet again …….rest in peace.
