  1. I thought I would try to find “Billie Jean” one more time using the internet, and was amazed and sad to find this lovely obituary. My mother, Virginia Lee Clary Wing, was Jean’s first cousin. Their mothers were sisters, and both were born in Ames. My mother’s mother was B. Myrl Garretson Clary. My mother asked me on several occasions to look for an address for your mother, but I was unsuccessful in doing so in my mom’s lifetime. My mother, know to all in Maquoketa, St. Donatus, and Dubuque Iowa, passed away on September 19, 2018, at the age of 87 years and 10 months. I am her oldest child. I send my sincere condolences to your family. My family has always decorated Great-Aunt Marjorie’s grave in the Esgate Cemetery in rural Jackson County Iowa, out of love of the Garretson/Bradley family.

  2. Jean was such a special person that I had the privilege of taking care of for several years while she was at the Preston building. Her cheerful smile and witty sense of humor will be missed by everyone who knew her. You will always hold a special place in my heart and you are missed dearly. Rest In Peace my dear Billy Jean ❤️

  3. Jean was a lovely woman who I met through Avondale Presbyterian Church. We stayed in touch through these
last years and I always admired her smile even through some difficult events. She was a truly sweet person.
