  6. Dear Garland Family. I am deeply sorry for your loss. Jim was a good man and an OK Step-Dad. Ha-ha. He was pretty great! There are only good memories I have of him. I know he will be missed terribly. Rita, and Mary ; I still consider you both, Sisters. I am here for you in any way that I can, and will always try to give you a shoulder to cry on, if you need me. Jim was a pretty good role model for me when I was younger. About the only thing he got wrong, was that I would return from Germany, as a ” Drinker. ” I remember him showing me how to shoot, behind his Mom’s house. He was always willing to give whatever he could, when asked of him. I think he thought of me as a son, when he was married to my mom. His mom even asked if I would consider taking the Garland name. Jimmie will be surely missed. God Bless.
