Janette S. Ferron

March 10, 2020 Landenberg, PA Loving Wife, Mother, Friend and Co-Worker

Janette S. Ferron, age 81, of Landenberg PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10th, 2020 at home surrounded by her family.

Born in Dalkeith Scotland, in 1938, she was the daughter of the late David and Marion Darling and the beloved wife of Edward A. Ferron for 59 years.

Janette’s journey to the United States began with writing to her pen pal, in Kennett Square, at the age of 8 years old. She came to the USA at the age of 18 on the Queen Elizabeth II, met the love of her life and the rest is history.

She was a loving wife, mother, friend and co-worker and she always opened her home to her children’s friends and family. She worked very hard and started waitressing at the Farmer and the Dell, but most people knew her from her many years at the Brown Derby in Toughkenamon, PA.

Janette was also a licensed real estate agent and an amazing esthetician.

She loved shopping, going out to dinner with family and friends and spending time at the beach with family.

Janette is survived by her husband Edward, her three daughters, Susan Burkhart, Terry Eichelberger, and Lisa Trautman (Ricky). Her five grandchildren, Eddie Burkhart, Nicholas Trautman, Harry Burkhart, Julie Eichelberger and Grace Trautman; her brother Joe Darling (Margaret). She was predeceased by her brother David and her son-in-law Michael Burkhart.

You are invited to visit with her family and friends from 10:00am – 12:00pm on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Kuzo Funeral Home, 250 W. State Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348. A memorial service will immediately follow.

The family would like to extend a huge thank you to all the caregivers at Willow Tree Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Willow Tree Hospice at 616 East Cypress Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348.

  9. To the Ferron family, I want to extend my sympathies for your loss. How sad is it, when such a beautiful person, inside and out, leaves this world? I worked with Janette at the Brown Derby and loved her personality as soon as we met. Praying the memories you all have made will help ease the pain. Heaven has truly received a beautiful Angel. RIP, my friend. Till we meet again.
