  1. Hi Donna and Brenda. I’m sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. “Aunt” Mary and “Uncle Donald” and your family were always a happy and warm household to be in. I know my Mom always considered their selves literal sisters and your Mother was certainly a favorite Aunt.
Ironically I guess, today marks a year to date since Lani passed. I know she grew to love and appreciate your Mother on the several times we were able to visit both before and after our marriage. Our children all have special memories of her love and kindness too.
I hope we can stay in touch. The phone number I had is no longer valid.
    My email is: jhettin49@aol.com.
    Love and condolences,
    Jon Hettinger

  2. My deepest condolences to your family at this time. We knew Mary as, Aunt Mary and considered her family. She was my Nana’s (Elizabeth Barker Hettinger) best friend. I will never forget visiting Mary one summer and she made us the best sub sandwiches. So many more great memories that live on. Love to you all during this difficult time.

  7. Aunt Mary was always a positive light in the surrounding darkness of life. She and my Mother, Beth Hettinger (Barker), were great friends. Aunt Mary often would encourage my Mother when she had concerns and was feeling down. I’m certain that they are having a great reunion now with all those who have passed on. My sympathies to you all for the separation we now have to endure but have faith that we will all see our loved ones again in the future.
