Bob was my best friend during our formidable years. He was like my brother. We lost touch and went our ways but I often thought about him and how he helped shaped who I am today. It’s hard to conceive he is gone and I will always remember him fondly. Sending all of my sincerest condolences to his family. Rest in peace old friend.
Bob you will be greatly missed, especially by your boys!!! I know how much they looked up to you and how much they will miss you. Hopefully, they take comfort by knowing you will always be watching over them.
I am happy to have known you through all these years. May you RIP!!!
Someone’s leaving us always hurts but when they leave so soon, it seems more unfair. It’s hard to get around that.
My first memory of ur dad, Shane and Pierce, was when your mom brought him home the first time to meet the fam. Paz and ur great grandmother had tables set throughout that small dining/living room to accommodate us all, no small feat. Barbara hovered everywhere. Your grandmother’s major purpose in life was to keep things running smoothly for those she loved and how she loved you two.
Bob was charming to Fan, drank a Manhattan with Paz and Uncle Kirk, and remembered everyone’s name first time out. His smile was a winner, his warmth real.
I know you will miss him many times throughout your life. I, equally, believe each time you do, his spirit will feel that sadness and know he was loved.
Agnesann.
Bob, although you were taken way too soon the Gibson name and your legacy will live on in your boys. You were a great co-parent to Sharon and helped in raising two incredibly fine young men in Shane and Pierce. You were also a supportive stepfather to Tyler over the years as well! You will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved you! My heartfelt sympathies go out to Shane and Pierce, Sharon, your mom, sisters, and close friends at this very difficult time. May the memories you share of him bring you much peace and comfort!
All My Love,
Aunt Patti
Although I only met him briefly, I know he was cherished and admired by both his sons. A wonderous smile, strong sense of humility and grace is here to stay passed from father to sons… May great memories become traditions in honoring a man who’s stay here was too short. Pierce, Shane and Sharon, my heart hurts for you all in this time of grief. Sending my love… Melinda
Bob left an incredible impression on anyone he encountered. His sense of humor went beyond imagination. His loyalty to his friends was boundless. His intelligence was unmatched and he always held it humbly. He was longtime friend and he will be missed terribly.
Bob was a wonderful friend and an important part of my life for many years. Always supportive. Loved talking about his boys. Rest In Peace, Bob. You will never be out of my memory.
What can you say about Bob? Huge smile, great laugh, brilliantly smart, hilarious sense of humor and caring friend. And, as I’ve learned, a loving and dedicated father. Bob- you’ll be missed. Our get togethers will be a LOT less interesting, but the stories of “Gibson” will carry on for decades.
I want to express my sincere condolences for your loss. I only met Bob a few times but I know from Sharon what a wonderful father he was. I want words to express the sorrow of a life gone far too soon. With deep feelings of sorrow for all of you. Warmly, Cynthia
