Carlos “Ciquito” Echevarria Santiago, 80, passed away on June 20, 2022 in Chester, PA. He was born on December 14th in Añasco, PR. After living in Chicago, IL for several years and having raised a stepson and two sons, he returned to sector El Salto in Añasco where he met Maria E. Crespo. Eight years later, they moved to Kennett Square, PA where they raised their three sons. Ciquito loved horse shoeing and horseback riding around Añasco. He also enjoyed talking about cars, joking around, and would most often be found in his home listening to loud music.

He is survived by his three sons, Pedro Echevarria, and his wife Daniela Echevarria; Antonio “Tony” Echevarria, and his wife, Yoli Echevarria; David Echevarria and his wife, Lorena Echevarria. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, Pedro Echevarria Jr., Jessie Newman, Millie M. Echevarria, Antonio Echevarria Jr., Kassandra L. Echevarria, Carlos A. Echevarria, David J. Echevarria, Kaylanni J. Echevarria, Anthony Echevarria, Carlos Echevarria, Cassandra “Cassy” Echevarria, James Echevarria, Keisha Echevarria, Kayla Echevarria and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco “Ciquito” Echevarria and Rosita Santiago, son, Francisco A. “Tony” Echevarria and stepson Gilbert Rivera.

The whereabouts of Carlos’ oldest son, Carlos Echevarria Jr. are currently unknown.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 5pm to 8pm with a Prayer Service at 7PM at Kuzo Funeral Home, Inc., 250 W. State Street. Kennett Square, PA 19348.

Interment will be held in Añasco, PR.
