Aleene K. Ciorrocco

August 1, 2022 Toughkenamon, PA Talented Baker and Natural Caregiver

Aleene K. Ciorrocco, age 90 of Toughkenamon, PA, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Ware Presbyterian Village. She was the wife of her late husband, Attilio “Pete” Ciorrocco, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage prior to his passing in March of 2017.

Born 1931 in Limerick, PA, Aleene was the daughter of the late John Kugler and the late Agnes Miller Kugler.

Following her graduation from Pottstown High School, Aleene continued her education at the Chester County School of Nursing. Aleene’s innate aptitude for caregiving allowed her to thrive in the nursing field where she worked as a labor and delivery nurse at the Chester County Hospital for over 40 years.

Aleene was a big fan of Philadelphia sports and always cheered for the Flyers, Eagles and Phillies. She loved the beach and looked forward to summer vacations in Wildwood. Yet, Aleene’s favorite time of year was Christmas. She was a talented baker, her family and friends looked forward to her Christmas cookies every year.

Aleene loved to be with family and especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Aleene is survived by her sons, Peter (Patricia) Ciorrocco of Downingtown, PA and Joseph Ciorrocco of Toughkenamon, PA; daughters, Andrea (Donald) Parrett of West Grove, PA and Nancy Ciorrocco of Park City, UT; her brother, Jay Kugler of Boyertown, PA; grandchildren, Michelle Bickings, Joanna Parrett and Matthew Werner; and great grandchildren, David and Christopher Bickings.

In addition to her parents and husband, Aleene is preceded in death by her sister, Lorraine and 2 brothers, John Jr. and Jake.

You are invited to visit with Aleene’s family from 10:00AM to 11:00AM on Friday, August 5, 2022 at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Parish, 8910 Gap Newport Pike, Avondale, PA 19311. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00AM and interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.

  1. just learned of Aleene’s passing; I’ve been a friend and colleague of Pete’s for 20+ years. I lost my mom, Agnes, also a WWII Army nurse, back a few years ago at 96. Nurses make great moms. Your family is in my prayers. – Tom McCormick

  3. Peter, Joe, Andrea and Nancy,

I have so many memories of Aleene. We lived life together; through the good times and bad. Dinners, family reunions, and even her love for Blue birds are just a few of the memories that come to mind. I don’t have adequate words to express how much I cherished her friendship. She is dearly missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family.

  10. Aleene was a great friend and neighbor. We raised our children together on Chambers, what fun we had. The stories she told me about women in labor were hilarious. I send my love to you guys!
