Paul E. “Wheel” Gamble, age 96 of West Grove, PA, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 in Rising Sun, MD.

Born 1925 in Prathers Creek, NC, Paul was the son of the late Bill Gambill and the late Laura McMillan Gambill.

Paul served our country as a member of the United States Air Force during World War II.

He was a Supervisor for General Motors. Paul was proud that he worked for 37 years and was retired for 36 – nearly 37 – years.

Paul loved fishing, hunting and trips to Delaware Park. He always had a soft spot for dogs and adored his English Setter, “Marz”. Paul was a loving and happy man who felt he was blessed in life. Yet, all who knew Paul felt blessed to know him and appreciated the kindness and generosity he brought to the world.

Paul is survived by many nephews and nieces; many great-nephews and great-nieces; and many great-great nephews and great-great-nieces who all adored him; his daughter, Maryjoe Gamble-Mundy (Archie) of West Grove, PA; sister in law, Virginia Briccotto of Odessa, DE; grandchild, Jonathan Gamble of West Grove, PA; and great grandchild, Jonathan Brown of Oxford, PA.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Press Gamble; brother, John Gambill; and sisters, Jessie Abel and Pearl Hopper.

You are invited to visit with Paul’s family from 9:00AM to 11:00AM on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Kuzo Funeral Home, 250 W. State Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348. His service will begin at 11:00AM and interment will follow at Union Hill Cemetery.
